Marketing and the Internet

I am taking a fascinating class at Columbia Business School on Thursday afternoons. We are learning a bazillion things about the internet. I'm doing a group project on Social Networking web sites, like MySpace, Friendster, and LinkedIn. We're evaluating the history of these sites and where they're headed in the future. Any ideas?
